Vintage Dahon Classic III Folding Bike – 3-Speed Sturmey Archer (Blue)

This is a Dahon Classic III folding bike in blue, built around the brand's proven steel frame and patented folding system. The bike comes equipped with a 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub gear, which keeps things simple mechanically and handles typical urban riding without fuss. The 16-inch wheels and compact fold make it a genuinely portable option for commuters who need to combine cycling with public transport or storage in tight spaces.

The bike is in good condition overall. The chrome shows well with no rust, and the steel frame sits beneath blue paintwork that has a few light scuffs visible in the photos—nothing that affects function. It's a second-owner bike that hasn't seen heavy use; the previous owner kept it garaged and covered minimal miles, and the current owner has added only a handful of kilometres after replacing the inner tubes. The side-pull caliper brakes are straightforward and effective for this style of bike.

This particular example is identifiable by the blue dust caps on the wheels, distinguishing it from a similar bike also available with black caps. For anyone looking for a genuine classic folding bike that's ready to ride without needing restoration work, this Dahon offers practical, no-nonsense commuting in a package that folds down small enough to carry onto a train or store in a flat.
