The Viking Apex is a folding bicycle featuring a compact alloy frame and 20-inch wheels, engineered for urban mobility and multi-modal transport.
I've upgraded this bike as follows:
Carbon fibre handlebars and seatpost - reduce road vibration and reduce weight making it easier to carry and improve climbing performance.
Fitted Tioga Powerblock BMX racing tyres - reducing weight and rolling resistance but also the wider than standard profile increases comfort and grip on bridleways and towpaths - huge improvement over the standard-fit heavy narrow slick city tyres.
Gel saddle for added comfort.
With these weight reducing performance upgrades and the bikes standard lightweight alloy frame and 8 gears, it accelerates and climbs like a far more expensive folding bike.
It also folds quickly and simply into a compact size so easily stowable under a desk, cupboard in a train, car boot, caravan or narrow boat.
I'm selling this (and another white version in a separate listing) on behalf of my parents who no longer ride them. As you can see it has had very little use and are in very good condition.
