TERN VERGE X11 FOLDING BIKE BLACK LOADS OF UPGRADES, Drop bars, SRAM Force, FAST

The Tern Verge X11 is a folding bike built for cyclists who want drop bars and proper road bike performance without sacrificing portability. Unlike many folder compromises, this black aluminium frame combines a compact fold with genuine ride quality, using SRAM Force derailleur gears and hydraulic disc brakes that you'd expect on a full-sized road bike. The 16-inch wheels are typical for folding bikes, keeping the package genuinely compact when folded, though they do mean the bike behaves a touch differently to larger-wheeled machines once you're rolling.

What sets the X11 apart is the component spec. SRAM Force gives you precise, reliable gear changes across a wide range, making it straightforward to find the right cadence whether you're accelerating away from lights or settling into a longer cruise. The hydraulic disc brakes offer strong, modulated stopping power in all weather, which matters more on a bike with smaller wheels where control and confidence count. The drop bars mean you can adopt different hand positions for comfort on longer rides, something that makes a real difference if you're regularly covering decent distances between your home, office, or station.

The folding mechanism lets you collapse it for train journeys, storage in a small flat, or carrying up stairs, making it genuinely practical for mixed-mode commuting. You get the ride quality and shifting you'd want for actual cycling, paired with the portability that only a folder offers. It's available in black or blue, depending on your preference.
