Raleigh foldable bike
£21.50 GBP
This is a Raleigh folding bike in blue, built with an aluminium frame that keeps the weight down for carrying and storage. Raleigh's traditional construction means it's put together properly, which matters when you're folding and unfolding a bike regularly. The 20-inch wheels are typical for a folder, striking a decent balance between compactness when folded and rideable proportions when you're out on it.
The drivetrain is straightforward: seven speeds via a derailleur gear system, which gives you enough range for general riding without overcomplicating things. The V-brakes are direct-pull linear brakes, a reliable choice that's easy to adjust and maintain if you're doing your own spannering. They'll stop you confidently in most conditions, though they do need proper setup to feel sharp.
The bike hasn't been used in a while, so it will need some attention before you ride it. That typically means checking the tyres for pressure and cracks, giving the chain a clean and oil, checking the brakes work properly, and making sure the gears shift smoothly. The derailleur might need a tweak, and the cables could do with a look. Nothing unusual for a folder that's been sitting around, and nothing that can't be sorted with basic tools and know-how.
