.M12l Lunar Ice Brompton Bike Folding Bike

The M12l Lunar Ice is a British-made Brompton folding bike built around a steel frame and 16-inch wheels, designed for urban commuting and everyday city riding. The compact fold is what makes Brompton distinctive, reducing the bike to a package small enough to carry onto trains, store under a desk, or wedge into a tight hallway. The Lunar Ice colour gives it a clean, understated aesthetic that works across different riding contexts.

The bike uses hub gears with thumb shifters for gear changes, which keeps the drivetrain protected from the worst of city grime and reduces maintenance compared to derailleurs. Caliper brakes provide reliable stopping power for urban speeds and mixed terrain, while the tubular tyres offer a smooth ride characteristic without needing suspension. Mudguards come as standard, so you're covered for everyday use without needing to add protection later.

In day-to-day riding, the upright position gives decent visibility in traffic, and the 16-inch wheels make the bike responsive and easy to manoeuvre through congested streets. The smaller wheel size contributes directly to how tightly the bike folds, though it does mean you need to maintain a bit more cadence on longer flat stretches to keep momentum going. The fold itself becomes intuitive after a few attempts, making it practical for commuters who regularly move between cycling and other transport.

This bike suits anyone mixing cycling with public transport, living in a small space, or needing a reliable everyday commuter that doesn't demand much fuss. It works equally well for male and female adults and handles the stop-start rhythm of city cycling without complaint.
