Dahon Vitesse folding bike silver

The Dahon Vitesse is a 20-inch folding bike in silver aluminium, built for riders who need something compact without sacrificing everyday practicality. Dahon's patented folding system is proven and straightforward, designed to collapse the bike down to a manageable size for storage or transport on public transport. The folding pedals tuck inward as part of the fold, which helps keep the whole package as tight as possible when stowed away.

The frame uses a 7-speed derailleur setup with V-brakes for reliable stopping power in daily riding. The 20-inch wheels suit the folded proportions and make the bike relatively nimble in traffic, though they do demand a bit more cadence to maintain speed on longer stretches compared to larger wheels. The tyres are Marathon Plus, which are known for genuine puncture resistance—a practical choice if you're commuting or riding regularly and don't want flats derailing your day. A luggage rack sits over the rear wheel, so you can carry work bags or shopping without resorting to a rucksack, and mudguards front and back keep spray off your clothes and shoes in wet weather. There's a bottle cage to keep you hydrated on the move and a bell for alerting pedestrians in urban settings.

The bike comes with a Dahon carry bag, which makes a real difference if you're taking it on trains or buses regularly, and an extra storage bag gives you somewhere to stow bits when you're not riding. The aluminium frame keeps weight down compared to steel, which matters when you're lifting the bike in and out of cupboards or onto commuter trains. This is a practical, straightforward folding bike suited to commuters and urban riders who value portability alongside decent component spec and low-maintenance reliability.
