Dahon Vitesse Aluminium Folding Bike - blue

The Dahon Vitesse is an aluminium folding bike designed for everyday urban cycling and commuting. It uses Dahon's patented folding system to collapse into a compact package that's easy to carry and store, making it practical for mixing cycling with public transport or fitting into smaller spaces. At 20 inches, the wheels strike a balance between manoeuvrability in traffic and maintaining momentum on longer urban routes, and they're the right size to keep the folded bike genuinely portable.

The flat bar handlebar puts you in an upright, practical riding position that works well for city cycling where visibility matters. The 5-speed grip shifter gives you enough ratios to handle moderate inclines and varying terrain without adding complexity, and the V-brake setup offers reliable stopping power with minimal maintenance. The aluminium frame keeps weight reasonable while providing the durability you need for daily use, and the straightforward componentry means there's less to worry about when you're relying on the bike day in, day out.

In typical commuting situations, the Dahon Vitesse handles the stop-start rhythm of urban riding sensibly. The compact geometry makes it feel responsive around traffic and through tight spaces, and once you've done the fold a few times it becomes automatic. The blue finish gives it a clean, understated look that doesn't announce itself. This bike suits commuters who need a bike that folds, store easily, and doesn't demand constant tinkering, or anyone who wants a second bike that takes up minimal space at home or the office. Riders looking for sportier geometry or extended range might find it limiting, but for short urban journeys and practicality, it's a straightforward choice.
