Dahon Vitesse Aluminium Folding Bicycle 7 Speed HUB Gears Bike

The Dahon Vitesse is an aluminium folding bike designed for commuting and everyday urban cycling. It uses Dahon's patented folding system to collapse into a compact package, making it practical to carry on public transport or store in a small space. The lightweight aluminium frame keeps the overall weight manageable, and the black finish is straightforward to maintain.

The bike runs 5-speed hub gears, which handle city riding and moderate hills without fuss. Hub gears are reliable and need minimal maintenance compared to derailleur systems, making them well suited to daily use. The gear changes are smooth and predictable, and you get a decent range for mixed-terrain commuting. The V-brake system provides direct and responsive stopping power, which works well in urban stop-start cycling.

At 20 inches, the tyres strike a balance between rolling efficiency and manoeuvrability in traffic. The wheels are tubular, which keeps the bike relatively light. The flat bar handlebar puts you in an upright riding position, giving good visibility and control through congested streets. Practical additions like mudguards, a kickstand, and an adjustable seat mean the Vitesse is ready to use without needing to buy extras straight away.

This folding bike suits adult commuters who value portability and reliability over performance. It works well for people cycling shorter distances regularly or those who need to combine their ride with train or bus journeys. The fold and carry make it a genuine alternative to leaving a bike locked outside, which matters if you're working or studying somewhere with limited secure parking.
