Dahon MU SL 20" Folding bike one of the lightest folding bikes on the market

The Dahon MU SL is a 20-inch folding bike built around serious weight savings without sacrificing everyday usability. At 9.5kg, it sits among the lightest folding bikes you can buy, making it genuinely portable for commuters and travellers who need something compact but still capable. The aluminium frame keeps the weight down while the SRAM X7 derailleur with 8-speed gearing handles most urban terrain without fuss, offering gear ratios from 31 to 89 inches for a reasonable spread between climbing and cruising.

The build uses quality components throughout. The Truvativ Elita crank pairs with an SDG Bel-Air SL saddle, which means the riding position is both comfortable for daily use and the materials won't add unnecessary weight. A rack and bell come as standard, so the bike is ready to go for practical city riding without needing to hunt down accessories. When folded, it measures 68cm high by 85cm long by 43cm wide with a volume of 249 litres, small enough to stash in a cupboard, under a desk, or take on trains and buses. The fold itself is quick and intuitive once you've done it a few times.

On the road, the 102cm wheelbase gives reasonable stability for a compact folder, and the 20-inch wheels keep the bike nimble in traffic while still maintaining decent momentum. Real-world riding shows a coasting speed of around 14.7mph, and you'll cover ten miles in roughly 41 minutes at a steady pace. This bike is in good working condition with a few cosmetic scratches that don't affect function, and it comes with a GIANT travel bag for protected carrying. It works well for city commuting, regular travel, or anyone who needs a functional bike in a small storage space.
