Dahon Archer P8 City Bike 8 Speed Folding Bike

The Dahon Archer P8 is a blue folding bike with 20-inch wheels, designed for urban cycling where portability matters but you still want decent range and speed. Dahon's patented folding system keeps the bike compact when you need to store it or take it on public transport, making it practical for mixed-use commuting or weekend rides where you might need to fold and carry.

It runs 7-speed Gripshift gears, so you can shift smoothly while riding and have enough range to handle varied terrain without constantly hunting for the right gear. The new tyres and brake cables mean the drivetrain and stopping power are fresh, and there's a pump built into the seat, so you're not reliant on finding somewhere to inflate the tyres if you pick up a puncture out on the road.

This is a used bike in good working order with some age-related marks on the frame and components, which you can see in the listing. The larger 20-inch wheels compared to ultra-compact folders like the Brompton give you better rolling speed and easier pedalling momentum, and the wider gear range means fewer compromises when hills come up. If you've got the storage space for something a bit larger than a compact folder but still want to fold it away when needed, the Archer P8 offers more versatility for longer rides or hillier terrain than you'd typically get from smaller-wheeled alternatives.
