Brompton T-Line 12 speed Titanium S-Type Lower Handlebar - Unused with box

This is a Brompton T-Line 12 speed folding bike in titanium with the low handlebar stem, and it's unused and still in its original box. The owner bought it just over a month ago as a replacement after selling their previous T-Line, but a change in their commuting needs means it hasn't seen any use and needs to move on. It's a premium British-made folding bicycle that never got the chance to leave the garage.

The T-Line builds on Brompton's proven design with substantial material upgrades. The main frame uses Grade 9 titanium tubes with a cast titanium bottom bracket manifold, keeping the overall weight down to 8.8kg despite the durability you gain from the material. The carbon fork is a single piece with an integrated magnetic pedal holder, and there's a carbon crankset paired with an FSA Mega Evo bottom bracket. Other weight-saving touches include the superlight carbon saddle, superlight seatpost, and CNC aluminium pedal set with a quick-release left pedal. The seat clamp and hinge clamps are machined aluminium with a matt black anodised finish, giving them a purposeful look.

The drivetrain runs Brompton's 12-speed setup with a 402% range, using sprockets sized at 11-13-15 and 18 tooth. The rear frame is the Advance Superlight design with a replaceable hanger, suspension block and 54mm roller wheels to handle the folding action. Both wheels use lightweight rims with double butted spokes, and they're fitted with Schwalbe ONE tyres that use Addix Race rubber and V-Guard puncture protection. The tubes are Tubolito S-tubo units at just 34g with Presta valves. Stopping power comes from dual pivot caliper brakes, and the front carrier block adaptor means you can fit any Brompton luggage system.

When folded, this bike measures 25.3 inches high by 23 inches wide by 10.6 inches deep, making it small enough to take on trains or store in a flat without taking up much space. The superlight lock-on foam grips keep your hands comfortable on shorter rides, and mudguards are included to keep spray off your clothes. Reflectors are fitted for visibility, though you'd want to add lights if you're planning regular evening commutes. The low handlebar stem gives a more forward riding position than Brompton's standard S-type bars, which suits riders who prefer a sportier geometry or have longer arms.

At 8.8kg with all this specification, it's one of the lightest Brompton models you can buy, making it straightforward to carry up stairs or onto a bike rack. The 16-inch wheels are typical for Bromptons and keep the fold tight, though they do need a bit more pedalling to maintain speed on longer flat sections compared to larger wheels. The 12-speed drivetrain gives you plenty of range for hilly terrain without the weight penalty of more gears. The RRP for this model is £4900, and this one is still sealed in its original box.
