Brompton P Line 4 Speed Folding Bike, Low Bar, upgraded Parts & Metro Bag
This is a Brompton P Line 4-speed folding bike in sparkle black with a low handlebar position, purchased directly from Brompton in July 2023. The P Line uses titanium for the fork and rear frame, which Brompton's range is built around. It's a British-made steel and titanium folding bike designed for urban commuting and anyone who needs to combine cycling with public transport or storage in tight spaces.
The bike has been upgraded significantly beyond the standard specification. It features a carbon crankset, flat G Line pedals, wide Nitto bars, gold aluminium hinge clamp levers, and a Brooks Cambium saddle, all of which push this build well beyond what you'd get off the shelf from Brompton. The low bar position (sometimes called S type) suits riders who prefer a more forward-leaning, efficient riding posture on shorter urban journeys. The 4-speed derailleur gear system gives enough range for typical city terrain without adding weight or complexity.
The bike comes with a Brompton Metro bag that mounts directly onto the front carrier block system, making it straightforward to carry essentials or convert the bike into a complete portable package. With just one owner and around two thousand miles on the clock, the bike is in solid working condition. The chain, brake pads, and bottom bracket are all in excellent condition, so there's plenty of life left in the drivetrain and braking system. The side-pull caliper brakes are responsive and reliable for everyday urban stopping.
The 16-inch wheels keep the fold compact and the handling tight in traffic, which is typical for Brompton's design philosophy. This particular example is well maintained and ready to go, whether you're commuting daily or looking for a folding bike that's been properly set up and upgraded by someone who understands the platform.
