Brompton M6L 6 Speed Folding Bike Black 2019 M Type Mudguards
Brompton M6L 6-Speed Folding Bike – Black – 2019
Selling my Brompton M6L as I’m moving over to a mountain bike.
I bought the bike new in August 2019 for £1,155, originally for commuting into London. I only actually commuted on it for a few months before Covid, after which the bike was largely unused for around two years.
For the last few years its main use has been cycling to and from my local gym around three times a week, roughly a five-minute journey each way, so it hasn’t been used for long-distance cycling or heavy commuting during that period.
It’s in good used condition for its age, with the normal marks and wear you’d expect from a seven-year-old bike. The handlebar grips in particular show some wear. I’ve tried to photograph the bike thoroughly so you can see its condition clearly.
Mechanically it’s running really nicely. I’ve just given it a thorough clean and service of the drivetrain: removed and cleaned the chain and derailleur, degreased everything and re-lubricated the chain. It’s running very smoothly.
Specification:
- Brompton M6L
- 6-speed gearing
- M-type handlebars
- Black steel frame
- Standard seatpost
- Brompton saddle
- Front and rear mudguards
- Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres
- Purchased new in August 2019
- Original purchase price £1,155
A couple of points to be aware of:
The front light works, although the battery will likely need replacing soon. The rear light casing is cracked and the rear light will need replacing.
Other than that, the bike is riding very well. It folds and unfolds correctly, brakes and gears are working properly, and it’s ready to use.
I have the original purchase/order documentation, confirming the specification, purchase date and that I’ve owned the bike from new.
I’ve included detailed photographs of the frame, wheels, drivetrain, controls and the bike both folded and unfolded.
Genuine reason for sale my children have got more into cycling and I’m changing to a mountain bike so we can do more off-road riding together.
