Brompton M3E 3 Speed Folding Bike

This is a 2000s model Brompton with Sturmey archer rear 3 speed hub. It has been well looked after and is in good condition for its age.

Cosmetically it has a few notable scratches and scrapes and there are a few places on the frame where someone seems to have used the wrong colour to touch up the paintwork. Overall it still looks very good and if you aren’t looking closely there aren’t any marks that really stand out.

Mechanically it is in good working order. The brakes work well. The gears change smoothly and the folding mechanisms all work as they should. This model is from before the era of the rear frame clip that stops the frame from folding when lifted. But a previous owner has made a simple and effective clip that holds the rear frame in place with the only downside that it doesn’t engage automatically when the bike is unfolded.

Great for cities and day trips in the car. Folds in seconds and can be taken on public transport
