Brompton H6R + S6R C Line 6 Speed Folding NANO electric assist bicycles

This is a pair of 2013 Brompton H6R and S6R C Line folding bikes with 6-speed gearing and Nano electric assist kits professionally fitted from new. The H model features a higher handlebar stem in Cobalt Blue, whilst the S model has a flat handlebar low stem in Racing Green and Black. Both bikes remain in immaculate condition with only minor cosmetic marks from light use—a few touch-ups to the black paint, light marks on the crossbar from mounting and dismounting, small scratches to the rear mudguard from occasional folding, and some minor cosmetic wear on the pedal ends. Each comes with the original owner's manual and documentation from Nano Bikes, who carried out the electric conversion work when the bikes were new.

The Nano electric conversion kit uses a pedal and crank sensor that engages the motorised front wheel once you start pedalling and disengages when you stop. The system offers three power levels and displays battery charge across four segment indicators. There's a safety cut-out on the rear brake lever that kills power if you pull the brake whilst still pedalling. The 36V Macallister battery charges fully using the supplied 13A mains charger, though the overall range cannot be guaranteed given the bikes' age. The real advantage of the Nano conversion is the after-sales support available through their Leamington Spa workshop, where batteries can be replaced or swapped for different types using 3D printed adapters to fit various power tool and domestic appliance batteries.

Both bikes have been fully checked over and adjusted recently. The mechanicals work smoothly throughout—the Sturmey Archer BWR three-speed hub and two-speed derailleur gears shift cleanly using Brompton's traditional gear shifters. The centre-pull caliper brakes are sharp and responsive. The Schwalbe Marathon tyres have fresh deep tread with visible rubber centre lines, and the brake pads are also new. Each bike sits on 16-inch wheels and uses Brompton's steel frame construction with the compact lateral fold that reduces them to a small, manageable package.

Both bikes come complete with rear luggage racks and bungee straps, Ortlieb Mini O bags containing the 36V Macallister batteries and adapters, the mains battery chargers, integral electric lights powered by the Nano conversion, front frame-fitted Brompton luggage blocks, Brompton tyre inflator pumps, reflectors all round, and integral Ping bells. These are rare to find examples in this condition, offered at a combined price considerably below the RRP of equivalent new electric C Line models.
