The Brompton G Line 4 Speed is a British-made steel folding bike designed for urban cycling and commuting. It combines Brompton's proven lateral fold with a 4-speed drivetrain and modern components like hydraulic disc brakes and integrated lighting. The frame weighs from 19.5kg complete, or 15.7kg without wheels and accessories, making it manageable to carry on stairs or onto trains when folded.

The hand-brazed steel main frame is paired with an aluminium fork and self-aligning hinge clamps that keep the fold consistent over time. The 4-speed Brompton drivetrain uses a 50-tooth chainset with 11, 13, 15, and 18-tooth sprockets, giving a range suited to urban riding with moderate hills. Microshift shifters control the gears, and a Brompton headset keeps the steering geometry tight and responsive for navigating city streets.

Stopping power comes from Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 140mm front and 160mm rear rotors, which perform well in wet conditions and require less maintenance than traditional cable brakes. The bike rolls on 20-inch Schwalbe G-One All Round tyres with tan walls, fitted to compatible wheels that contribute to the compact folded size of 28.3 inches depth, 26.2 inches height, and 16 inches width. Mudguards are included as standard, so the bike is ready for British weather without additional setup.

The G Line uses an extended seatpost on the medium size to accommodate different leg lengths, whilst the wide platform pedals have quick release for easier storage. Wide saddle, ergonomic grips, and a G Line aluminium seatclamp complete the riding position. A large-diameter front carrier block adaptor accepts Brompton luggage, and the package includes an essentials bag with 1.5-litre storage capacity and a Brompton bell. AVY integrated lighting is fitted, and the e-Motiq system gives a range of 20 to 45 miles on a single charge.
