Brompton Folding M Series 6 speed with tool kit, cover and matching Brompton bag
This Brompton M Series is a British-made steel folding bike in blue with black forks and sub-frame, fitted with 6 speeds and the smaller chainring. It's a proper commuter's tool—the sort that's been ridden hard and regularly over the last 12 years, which tells you something about how these bikes hold up to daily use. The frame uses Brompton's signature compact fold, which brings the bike down to a size small enough for train racks, car boots, or tucking under a desk at work.
The bike is in fair condition with the honest wear marks you'd expect from a dozen years of regular commuting. There are some scrapes and worn paint in places, and the saddle shows use, but mechanically it's in good working order. The suspension bush fitted is the hardest option available when it was new, which means it's been set up for a stiffer ride. The 16-inch wheels and hub gears are typical of the platform—they keep the fold tight and maintenance straightforward, with the 6-speed setup handling most urban terrain without fuss.
What comes with it makes this a complete package. You get the original Brompton tool kit that fits neatly inside the down tube, a C bag that mounts onto the front fitting, and a waterproof high-visibility cover for the bag. There's also a rear battery light fitted, which is practical for commuting through darker months. The lock shown in some pictures is not included in the sale.
This is the sort of folding bike that suits someone who needs to combine cycling with public transport, or who simply needs their bike to live in a small space without dominating the hallway. Twelve years of real-world use means you're getting a proven tool, not a theoretical commuter's dream.
