Brompton Folding Bike 6-Speed Tour de France Black Edition

The Brompton folding bike in this Tour de France Black Edition is a British-made steel frame built for urban commuting and everyday riding. The 16-inch wheels and compact fold make it straightforward to carry onto trains, store in a flat, or tuck under a desk when you're not riding. The steel construction keeps the bike durable through city use, and the sleek black finish has the added practical touches of reflectors and mudguards built in for visibility and weather protection.

The 6-speed hub gear system with thumb shifter handles the typical demands of urban cycling without fuss. Hub gears are low-maintenance compared to derailleur systems, so you're not spending time adjusting cables or cleaning chain grease off your trousers. The side-pull caliper brakes provide reliable stopping power for stop-start commuting. The flat bar handlebar gives an upright riding position that keeps your visibility good in traffic and reduces strain on your wrists and shoulders during shorter journeys around town.

What comes with this bike is worth noting: it includes a tool kit and pump for basic maintenance, plus two saddles so you can choose what suits you. There's a Brooks Cambium all-weather saddle if you want something weatherproof and traditional, or the original saddle that came with the bike. This is an unused bike, barely ridden since purchase, so everything arrives in good condition. Collection from Oxford only.
