Brompton E

This is a Brompton E, the electric version of the British-made folding bike, finished in black with a steel frame and 16-inch wheels. It's the H2L model with 2 gears, so it uses a simple hub gear system rather than a derailleur setup. The bike has barely been used—just 80 miles from new—and has been kept indoors throughout its life, so it's in immaculate condition. It originally cost almost £2,800 when new.

The Brompton E is designed as a practical folding bike for urban cycling and commuting where you need to combine pedalling with public transport or storage in tight spaces. The compact fold is the defining feature, collapsing down small enough to fit under a desk or into a train luggage rack. With electric assistance, the bike handles hills and longer distances more easily than an unpowered Brompton, which helps offset the weight of the battery and motor. The side-pull caliper brakes are straightforward and easy to maintain, whilst the hub gears keep the drivetrain protected and free from cable adjustments.
