Brompton Chpt3 v2 S6E Titanium Limited Edition

This is a Brompton x CHPT3 v2 S6E, a British-made titanium and steel folding bike in very good condition. It's been used lightly as a backup bike for train and tube journeys since it was bought new from Avon Cycles in Bristol in 2019. The S-type flat handlebars are set up for a low, fast riding position, and the race-tuned rear suspension block gives a stiffer, more responsive feel than standard models. The whole bike weighs just 10.3kg without mudguards, making it straightforward to carry when needed.

The 6-speed setup uses the Schwalbe Marathon tyres fitted currently, which are reliably puncture-resistant for everyday riding. The original tan Schwalbe One tyres come with the bike as well—they're faster and look good, but they're quite thin and prone to punctures, so they suit riders who spend most time on decent road surfaces. The chain and sprockets were replaced six months ago, so the drivetrain is in good working order. An extended seatpost is fitted as standard, which is essential for anyone 5'10" and over; the original smaller seatpost is included unused if you need it. At 5'11", the owner uses the extended post at full extension, so taller riders should find the fit comfortable.

Mudguards are included, and they make a real difference in wet conditions—without them, spray off the tyres gets everywhere. The rear mudguard has a section cracked off, which doesn't affect how the bike works, but it's worth knowing about. The bike also comes with a brand new, unused Fabric Scoop seat with titanium rails, which was the limited edition seat included when it was new and has been kept in storage since purchase. These seats cost around £80 new as non-limited versions.

Everything comes packaged in the original Brompton box with paperwork and the bits and pieces that came with it. The CHPT3 v2 from 2019 refined the original concept with better components: the Brooks saddle was replaced with British Fabric, the specially developed Schwalbe ONE tyres have a tan wall and 35mm width to lower rolling resistance, and the rear suspension is race-tuned for improved handling.
