Brompton C-Line 6-Speed in Ocean Blue (Discontinued) - April 2026
The Brompton C-Line is a British-made steel folding bike designed for daily commuting, particularly if you're mixing cycling with train travel. The 16-inch wheels and compact lateral fold make it small enough to fit under a train seat or into luggage areas, which is why it's become a standard choice for UK commuters covering 7 to 15 miles a day. The steel frame is built to last, and the whole bike weighs around 11kg, making it manageable to carry up stairs or onto crowded transport.
The 6-speed hub gearing is smooth and reliable for city riding and the occasional hill. It's straightforward to use and needs minimal maintenance compared to derailleur systems, which works well when your bike spends as much time folded as it does being ridden. The side-pull caliper brakes are simple and effective for urban stop-start cycling. The Ocean Blue colour is vibrant enough to be spotted in traffic but finishes cleanly enough for a professional commute, and this particular shade is now discontinued, making it harder to find.
This is an ex-display model from Brompton's April 2026 catalogue, purchased from Halfords. It's been lightly handled but never ridden on the road, so it's mechanically perfect and ready to ride. You might spot minor cosmetic signs of handling, but nothing that affects how it performs. The bike is fully checked and comes registered on the Brompton Bike Register with a 7-year warranty included.
If you regularly commute by bike and train, or you simply need a compact bike that doesn't take up much space at home or in the office, this C-Line suits that life well. The combination of the 6-speed configuration and the discontinued Ocean Blue colour makes this a particularly sought-after version. Collection is from Weybridge only.
