Brompton 5-speed with front-wheel drive
This is an older Brompton folding bike fitted with a front-hub motor and a 5-speed Sturmey-Archer gear hub. It's a British-made steel frame in silver with 14-inch tyres that are relatively new. The motor itself sits in the front wheel hub, operated by a switch on the left-hand side of the handlebars. In practice, the switch functions as an on/off control rather than offering variable output. The electrical components are Nano-branded equipment, and spares or support should be sourced through that channel if needed.
The bike comes with a Brompton bag featuring a yellow waterproof top, both included. There's also a box of Brompton accessories somewhere with the sale, which should contain a locking mechanism for the rear wheel when the bike is standing—this was an optional extra for this particular model. Cosmetically, the bike shows its age with marks and wear consistent with use over time, though mechanically it remains functional. A trial run is available on request to see how it performs before committing to purchase.
As a collection-only bike, this is best suited to someone local who can inspect it properly and arrange transport themselves. For more details about condition, the motor system, or to arrange a test ride, contact the seller directly.
