Bespoke Brompton S3L - titanium seatpost, Brooks saddle, unique colours and more

This is a bespoke Brompton S3L folding bike built in 2019 and barely ridden since, with under 100 miles on the clock after a full refurbishment. The frame and wheels started as a used S3L that was completely stripped, sandblasted, and professionally resprayed by Aurora Powder Coating in Aldershot. The colour scheme is unique – a striking combination of what's likely Fuschia pink RAL 4010 paired with Cement Grey 7033 – and the paintwork is nearly perfect aside from one small nick on the top tube. The bike deserves to be used and shown off rather than sitting unused.

The build mixes Brompton's own components with carefully chosen upgrades. The saddle is a new Brooks Cambrium C13 in white, a non-leather all-weather model that's a rare limited edition worth around £200. The seatpost is an aftermarket titanium unit with a 60cm tube length, making it suitable for riders up to around 6 feet tall, though it lacks the flange you get on standard Brompton seatposts so the rubber stopper needs to stay in place. The tyres are new throughout – a Schwalbe Marathon on the rear and a Schwalbe Racer (the lighter Marathon variant) on the front, both with puncture protection. The mudguards are new Brompton units in white, now difficult to source elsewhere. Brakes are new Brompton black with upgraded black Shimano levers, and the original S-type steel bars wear cool orange skull-motif lock-on grips with minimal wear. Cables are new with contrasting white and orange outers, and the shifter is a new Sturmey Archer 3-speed SLS30. The chainset, chain, and chain tensioner are all new Brompton items, and the pedals are Crankbrothers Double Shot orange single-sided SPD-type – though a basic flat pedal set or original Brompton folding pedals can be supplied as alternatives. The bike also comes with upgraded Eazy wheels for rolling it around when folded.

There are a few minor issues worth noting. Some light rust sits on brake bolts and mudguard stays, visible in the photos. The front mudguard flap would benefit from replacement – either with a £5 Brompton original or improvised using a silicone baking sheet cut to shape, as the seller has done with an orange version. Collection is from KT14 or central London (Wapping, Waterloo, or nearby), with viewings possible in KT14. Allow around a week to arrange a meeting.
