This is truly a one of a kind Brompton
Built for commuting in 2019 but barely used as circumstances changed with Covid so it's done under 100 miles since a full refurbLack of use and lack of space forces sale - it deserves to be shown off and used!
Frame and wheels were from a used Brompton S3L - not sure of yearIt was completely stripped, sandblasted and professionally resprayed by Aurora Powder Coating in AldershotI can't remember the main colour - possibly Fuschia pink RAL 4010 but the grey is Cement Grey 7033 - there won't be another Brompton on the planet in this colour schemePaintwork is just about perfect - one small nick on top tube as pictured
The rest of the build looks like this. New here means new when built in 2019 and under 100 miles of use.
Saddle - New Brooks Cambrium C13 white, non-leather, all weather - rare limited edition (I can't find an example online of this model with the text on the saddle!) worth about £200
Seatpost - titanium after market version - lighter saddle clamp than the Brompton version - tube length is 60cm - I'm 6" and it's long enough, probably not suitable for someone a lot taller than this. It doesn't have the flange you get on a Brompton seatpost which stops it being lifted out of the frame and if you pull too hard the rubber stopper pops off but this shouldn't prove to be a problem if you're aware of this.
Tyres - rear new Schwalbe Marathon, front new Schwalbe Racer (the lightest Marathon) with puncture protection
Mudguards - new white Brompton - I don't think you can buy these anymore so call them limited edition and rare
Brakes - new Brompton black brakesBrake levers - upgraded to black Shimanos
Bars - original S type steel Grips - cool (in my opinion) orange skull motif quite slimline lock on grips - can clean up a bit more - very light wearBell - stolen from my son's scooter because it's orange and white
Cables - new with contrasting white and orange outersShifter - new Sturmey Archer 3 speed SLS30Chain Tensioner - new BromptonChainset - new Brompton 50t Chain - new, decent model, may be able to check if anyone needs to know, it will brush up better than pictured as it's as new as the rest
Pedals - Crankbrothers Double Shot orange single sides spd type pedals - if preferable I can replace with a more basic double sided flat pedal set - potentially I may still have the original set with one Brompton folding pedal - get in touch for options
Brompton Eazy wheels - upgraded little wheels on the back to roll it around when it's folded up
Bad pointsSee pics for where there's a little rust on brake bolts, mudguard staysFront mudguard flap, as pictured, would benefit from replacing. £5 for Brompton original or you could improvise as I did to make a new orange one by cutting a silicone baking sheet into shape
Collection only - KT14 or central London (Wapping / Waterloo or somewhere not a million miles from this route) (I'm not in London regularly so allow a week or so to compare diaries)Viewing possible in KT14
