The steel frame and lateral fold are classic Brompton, designed to reduce the bike down to a compact package for commuting and mixed urban use. What makes this example stand out is the Swytch Air E-bike conversion fitted a week after purchase, which adds electric assistance without fundamentally changing how the bike folds or handles.

The Swytch kit is the later Air version with an improved controller and a neater battery bracket mounted to the bag block. It doesn't add significantly to the weight compared to older e-bike conversion systems, and because Swytch maintain their own supply chain, spare batteries and parts are straightforward to source directly. The beauty of this approach is that you're not locked into Brompton's own e-bike ecosystem – you're using a modular system that can be removed if needed. The seller has kept the original black front wheel, so the option exists to revert the bike to standard specification if a future owner chooses to do so.

The mechanicals are all in working order. Both brake systems are smooth and sharp, with the 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub and 2-speed derailleur gears shifting cleanly using the latest underbar shifters. The saddle and handlebar grips remain in excellent condition, showing minimal wear from test riding only.
