The Ecosmo E-20TF01WR is a 20-inch folding electric tandem bike designed for two riders who want assisted pedalling without the weight and bulk of a traditional tandem. It arrives 95 per cent assembled, with only the handlebars, pedals, seats and chain needing to be fitted—work that slots together simply without requiring technical knowledge. The seat height, brakes, gears and other components may need minor adjustment to suit your riding style, though the clipping system makes this straightforward. The frame is high-tensile steel and folds down to 110 by 34 by 66 centimetres, making it considerably more compact than an unfolded tandem at 220 by 18 by 66 centimetres. Both riders can pedal independently, so each person controls their own effort—useful if one rider tires or if you want to take turns being the primary power source. The rear hub motor delivers 250W of torque and is paired with a 36V 10Ah lithium battery mounted in the seat post, featuring LG cells for longer range. The motor provides smooth power delivery from the start, ramping up as you demand more assistance. An LED dashboard lets you toggle between five power levels and shows battery status, with the battery itself locking in place for security.

On a single charge, the bike reaches up to 60 kilometres of range and takes four to six hours to recharge. The battery is good for over 1,000 charge cycles. Top speed is governed to 25 km/h, and the bike carries a maximum load of 180 kilograms combined, with individual riders limited to 100 kilograms each. The 20-inch tyres measure 1.75 inches wide, and the bike runs 7-speed Shimano derailleur gears with mechanical disc brakes for stopping power. The front seat sits between 80 and 95 centimetres from the floor, while the rear seat adjusts from 70 to 97 centimetres, so both riders can find a comfortable position.
