1990 Hub 89-4 Dahon Bickerton Folding bicycle Collectors Original & Hardly Used

This One mature owned from new 1990 (89-4 hub date stamp) built folding bicycle remains in what can only be described as amazing timewarp, all original condition and only seen brief leisure rides not been used for any long distance commuting.

This is one of an identical matching pair available. Both have their own user manual.

The original Gloss silver paint finish still looks excellent throughout and with only a few light scratches/marks from storage and use. Only some carefully paint touch in’s to silver.

Both chrome wheel rims remain shiny and rust free with the original tyres which both still have deep read but do have some expected cracking from age, but fully inflated.

I can supply with the bike a pair of modern all black replacement Kenda brand 1.75 tyres for the new owner to fit if doing any serious mileage on the bike.

The bike is all in fully functional and excellent working order, having smooth working alloy Caliper brakes and the Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub gear mechanism shifting smoothly between all 3 gears using two of the tried and tested SA thumb type shifter.

The bike has been carefully cleaned/adjusted checked over and even still has it’s original chain / running gear which is all hardly worn, rust free and in excellent smooth running order ready for use.

Both original black plastic pedals one hand screws on for quick removal without tools.

Original Owners Manual/booklet.

All the original reflectors.

The original black plastic mudguards are in excellent original undamaged condition. The mudguard bracketry shows some light surface corrosion but could easily be painted silver, I personally prefer to keep the bike as original as possible with the age patina only cleaned/polished.
