The SAMEBIKE U14R is a 14-inch folding electric bike designed for urban commuting and everyday city riding. Built with a high-carbon steel frame, it folds down to 73 by 42 by 60.5 centimetres, making it compact enough to store in a flat, office, or carry onto public transport. At 21.5kg, it's heavy enough to feel solid when riding but manageable for most people to lift and manoeuvre when folded.

Power comes from a 36V 7.8Ah lithium battery that delivers a maximum range of around 50km on a single charge. The 250W brushless motor tops out at 25km/h and works across three riding modes: full electric with no pedalling required, pedal-assisted where the motor kicks in as you push the pedals, or pure pedal power if you want to conserve battery. Charging takes four to six hours from empty, and the battery is removable so you can top it up indoors or at the office without moving the bike. The five-level pedal-assist system lets you dial in how much motor support you want, which is useful for managing battery range on longer commutes or adapting to changing terrain.

The ride itself benefits from a straight-leg fork up front that absorbs some road vibration, important on the smaller 14-inch tyres which are quicker to accelerate and turn but feel less forgiving on rough surfaces than larger wheels. Stopping power comes from mechanical disc brakes on both wheels, which are reliable and easy to maintain. The five-speed shifter gives enough gearing for moderate hills, though nothing extreme. An LCD display shows your speed, battery level, and mode, and the bike includes a USB charger port for topping up devices on the move.

In daily use, the U14R works well for short to medium urban journeys where portability matters as much as riding range. The small wheels make it agile through traffic and quicker to accelerate from standstill, whilst the electric assistance means hills and longer distances feel less like a slog. The bright headlight and rear rack add practical everyday features. Maximum load capacity is 100kg, and the orange colour stands out in a crowd. This bike suits commuters who blend cycling with public transport, anyone living in flats or houses with tight storage, or people wanting electric assistance without the weight and cost of a larger e-bike.
