Rare Early Brompton Folding Bicycle – circa 1990/91 – 5 Speed – Frame No. 3547

Very early Brompton folding bicycle in largely original condition.

Frame stamp is 3547 and the original Sturmey Archer 5-speed hub is date marked 90-9, indicating late 1990 manufacture.

An increasingly hard-to-find early Brompton, especially in original 5-speed specification.

The bike folds and rides correctly and appears complete with original rear rack, mudguards and Sturmey Archer hub gear setup. The frame is in remarkably solid condition for its age with no significant rust issues visible, aside from some light corrosion on the seatpost clamp nut which would be inexpensive and straightforward to replace.
