The Scout electric tricycle is a 24-inch folding trike aimed at adult and senior riders who want a stable, practical way to cycle without the balance demands of a two-wheeled bike. Built around a lightweight aluminium frame with a quick-release folding mechanism, it reduces down to 173cm long and 89cm high when folded, making it manageable to store in a garage, shed, or transport in a larger vehicle. At 29.5kg, it's not light, but the three-wheel design and sturdy construction are built to support up to 200kg of rider and cargo combined, which is genuinely useful if you're carrying shopping or other loads regularly.

The 24-inch wheels are alloy rims on steel hubs with 36 spokes and double-walled construction for durability. Tyres are Schwalbe Landcruiser 24 x 1.75, a decent general-purpose tyre that handles varied surfaces without fuss. You get front and rear mechanical disc brakes, which are straightforward to maintain and offer reliable stopping power. The 6-speed Shimano derailleur gears let you adjust effort and cadence, so you can choose to work harder or lighter depending on conditions and how you feel that day.

The electric motor is a 250W front hub unit, which is road legal and doesn't require insurance, tax, or a driving licence. The 14Ah lithium-ion battery uses LG cells and detaches easily, so you can charge it indoors without moving the trike. From a full charge, you're looking at around 40 miles of range when using electric assist. The bike has five levels of pedal assist built into the LCD screen, ranging from level 1 (assisting up to 5 mph) through to level 5 (assisting up to 15 mph). There's also a walk function set at 3 mph if you need to push the trike along without pedalling. The LCD display tracks your speed, distance travelled, and battery level, with adjustable brightness for different lighting conditions. You can turn the assist off entirely and pedal manually if you prefer, which is useful for building fitness or conserving battery on journeys where you don't need the help.

The riding position is upright and stable thanks to the low-step aluminium frame with adjustable hi-rise cruiser handlebars and a quick-release seat post. There's front suspension to absorb bumps, and a large rear basket for carrying everyday items. The trike comes with a charger and a good list of accessories including a second basket, a cover, a lock with keys, and a pump with fixing bracket.
