Tern Verge N8 Folding Bike 20” 8 Speed Matte Black Commuter 2019 Model

This is a Tern Verge N8 folding bike in matte black, a 2019 model that was bought new in 2021 and used for commuting over roughly two years before a change in circumstances led to its sale. The Tern Verge is a genuinely practical folding bike designed for urban commuters who need something that folds down quickly for storage, train travel, or bus journeys without sacrificing everyday ride quality.

The bike uses a 20-inch aluminium frame with 8-speed Shimano derailleur gears, which handles both city riding and longer journeys with ease. Rim brakes provide straightforward stopping power, and the included mudguards keep spray off on wet commutes. At approximately 12.5kg, it's a manageable weight for carrying up stairs or onto public transport, and when folded it measures around 70cm high by 80cm long by 38cm wide—compact enough to fit into a standard bike box for postage. The geometry keeps the ride comfortable even on longer stretches, and the fold itself happens in seconds once you're familiar with the mechanism.

The bike has been recently cleaned with a freshly oiled chain, so it's ready to ride away immediately. It's in excellent overall condition with only minor cosmetic scuffs from normal use, which are clearly visible in the photographs. The photos show the actual condition honestly, so you'll see exactly what you're getting. Collection is available in person from London SE16, or postage can be arranged at the buyer's cost—the folded size makes it practical to box up and send. Feel free to message with any questions, request additional photographs, or arrange a viewing.
