Proteam Folding Bike 6-Speed Shimano Gears, 16" Wheels

This Proteam folding bike is a compact commuter built around 16-inch wheels and a frame that folds down for easy storage and transport. It's brand new and unused, having been kept in storage since purchase, so the bike itself is in untouched condition despite the box showing some wear from storage. The silver aluminium frame is typical of the folding bike category, designed to get small and light enough to carry on public transport or store in a flat without taking up much room.

The bike runs Shimano 6-speed derailleur gears, which gives enough range for varied terrain without overcomplicating things. Gear changes are managed through a standard derailleur system, so maintenance and adjustment follow familiar patterns if you've ridden Shimano-equipped bikes before. The 6 speeds suit urban commuting and local riding well, handling the mix of flat sections and gentle hills you'd encounter around town. V-brakes handle stopping duties, offering direct and predictable braking that's reliable in dry and wet conditions alike.

With 16-inch wheels, the bike stays nimble and responsive in traffic, and the smaller diameter contributes to a compact fold. This wheel size does mean you'll need to work a bit harder to maintain speed over longer distances compared to a bike with larger wheels, but for city commuting and short journeys where you're stopping frequently anyway, the trade-off is worth it. The folding mechanism makes this practical for anyone combining cycling with train or bus travel, or for storing in a small space at home or work.
