Very rare and unusual bike. More of a design exercise and collectors bike than an everyday commuter. A Brompton is unbeatable but this will stand out more and the way it folds is a spectacle.
I bought it as an ex-demo but basically new bike from a shop in London about 10 years and has had little use since.
It has a few paint chips and scuffs. I was going to give it a full rebuild and spray a different colour but I'm not getting round to it.
It has 2 speeds which change by kicking a button on the axle. It's like a sturney Archer Hub gear but in the bottom bracket.
Parts are available direct from Pacific and it is a good service, I've had new gear change buttons and wheel magnets.
A downside is, like you would've read about, is it creaks when you ride out and it's hard to figure out where. Sometimes it doesn't but it is noticeable. My plans for it's rebuild was going to be to strip all the paint off and have the welds doubled up. It may just be the chain cover.
Nice to ride and it looks cool. Very quick to fold.
