The Paratrooper is the original folding mountain bike from Montague. The Paratrooper is tough, rugged, and ready for anything.  Its patented folding design was developed under a grant from DARPA to allow airborne soldiers to drop out of airplanes and helicopters, and into combat.

The Paratrooper offers 24 speeds, front suspension and mechanical disc brakes. Known for its durability and load bearing capabilities, this folding bike has also developed a following with everyday commuters and weekend warriors. Tackle any terrain, carry your gear and fold to stash in your car, boat, or motorhome.

Folding Integrated Technology

The Paratrooper frame is designed around another patented system that allows the bike to fold without any breaks in the frame’s tubing. Not only does this make it easier to fold, but it makes Montague bikes the strongest folding bike on the market. The Folding Integrated Technology (F.I.T.) is based around the same frame construction concepts as serious full suspension downhill bikes.

The bike has been fitted with a new stem and saddle post, making it more comfortable for a taller rider (6')- there's lots of adjustment, so should still be good for smaller riders too. Even includes a brand new pair of folding pedals, if you really need to fold the bike to the smallest size possible.

The bike is an excellent compromise between a "real" mountain bike, and the typical small wheel folding bike. Storage / carrying bag is included.
