Folding bike - mezzo D9 - designed by John Whyte (ex F1 suspension designer)
- 9 speed quick thumb Shimano shifter
- 16 inch quick release wheels
- good mezzo rims with 16x1.35 schwalbe marathon plus tyres
- folding pedals for extra compact size
- mudguards + rear rack
- very good (loud) bell installed on the handlebars
- locking loop installed to the saddle that a bike lock can go through to avoid the saddle being stolen (I lived in London and regularly saw bikes with saddles missing - so decided to keep mine safe!)
- weighs approximately 11kg and folds down to approximately 69 × 69 × 36 cm.
About the same size as a Brompton but no hinge on the frame so is nice and stiff and doesn’t wobble when riding (much better than a Brompton).
Folds well (although you will need to watch a tutorial as there is a knack to it) and rides as should, although the chain catcher is slightly bent which means it doesn’t always catch when unfolding, but you can just lift the chain back on easily, or fix it! - hence why a little bit cheaper
Was previously used as my commuter bike for 2 years (30min cycle most week days) but hasn’t been used in a year now.
