The Estarli E20 Pro is a lightweight folding bike built for urban commuting and city riding where portability matters as much as getting from A to B. The compact 20-inch frame folds down to 46cm wide by 66cm tall by 83cm long, making it practical to carry onto trains, store in a flat, or stash in a car boot. At 18kg, it's manageable to handle when folded, and the electric motor means you're not wrestling with dead weight if the battery runs out. The bike comes in blue and is hand-built in Hertfordshire using a mix of quality components that keep the weight reasonable without compromising durability.

The heart of the system is a 250-watt hub motor with 42nm of torque paired with a Samsung or Panasonic 7.2ah 36v battery hidden in the seatpost. This gives a range of around 50km or 31 miles on a single charge with power assist, or unlimited distance if you're pedalling without the motor. The battery charges in 3 to 5 hours from a standard domestic socket, and a charger is included. You get five levels of power assist to dial in how much help you want, and a waterproof LCD display shows your speed, battery level, and distance travelled, with USB charging built into the unit for topping up other devices.

For everyday riding, the E20 uses Shimano 7-speed gearing to handle mixed terrain and the occasional hill, while 160mm disc brakes front and rear provide reliable stopping power in wet or dry conditions. The 20-inch Schwalbe tyres come with puncture protection, which matters in city riding where thorns and debris are common. Adjustable handlebars and seat height let you dial in a comfortable position, and the integrated front and rear LED lights mean you're visible during commutes that start or finish in darkness. The front wheel uses a quick-release mechanism to make the folding process simpler. Mudguards and a rear carrier come fitted as standard, so the bike is ready to work as a practical commuter from day one without needing to buy extras.

The E20 Pro sits in the space between a regular folding bike and a full electric commuter. If you're mixing cycling with public transport, need something that doesn't dominate your living space when not in use, or want motor assistance without the bulk of a larger e-bike, this hits that brief. The motor gives genuine help on hills and lets you arrive fresher than you would on a pedal bike, whilst the modest frame size and fold make it genuinely portable. Riders covering very long distances regularly or expecting to tackle serious off-road terrain might want something larger and beefier, but for short urban hops and the flexibility of a bike that doesn't look out of place in an office or hallway, the E20 works well.
