The Tern Verge X30h is a folding bike built for fast urban riding without compromising on gearing range or portability. It uses a custom hydroformed 7005-aluminium frame with Tern's patented OCL joint and Double Truss technology, which keeps the weight down to just 10.3kg whilst maintaining rigidity for sprinting and quick acceleration through city traffic. The frame folds down to 42 × 79 × 72cm in under 10 seconds, making it practical to stash on a train, in an office, or at home when space is tight.

The 30-speed gearing system is where the Verge X30h sets itself apart from typical folding bikes. Instead of a standard derailleur setup, it uses a SRAM DualDrive system combining a 10-speed rear cassette with an internal 3-speed hub, giving you a genuinely wide range without the bulky chainrings you'd see on a conventional road bike. Gear changes happen via flappy paddle shifters integrated into the brake levers, which work smoothly and keep your hands steady on the drop bars. The drop handlebars mount on a Kinetix Pro TT Physis 3D handlepost with a Syntace VRO adjustable stem, so you can dial in the reach and height to suit your riding style and comfort.

The 20-inch performance wheels are sized for speed and portability, striking a balance between quick acceleration and keeping the whole package compact when folded. Shimano SPD pedals come fitted as standard, letting you use cycling shoes if you're looking to maintain momentum on longer commutes. Day to day, the Verge X30h rides like a proper road bike despite folding away, with responsive handling and the ability to maintain decent speed once you're rolling. The bike comes complete with a Tern bottle cage, a handlebar stem bag with waterproof cover, and a spare 20-inch inner tube, so you're ready to ride straight out of the box.
