Fold Up Bicycle Raleigh Foldaway Bike. Recycling project, needs service

This is a Raleigh folding bike, a British-made machine built with traditional steel and chrome construction that's designed for practical urban riding and storage in tight spaces. The 20-inch wheels and compact fold make it suited to commuters who need to combine cycling with public transport or store the bike at home without taking up much room. The bike is in full working order and has been ridden only a handful of times, though it's spent time in a shed alongside other bikes, so it shows the expected scratches and scuffs that come with storage. The original wheel stickers are still in place, which is a good sign of how little use it's seen.

The Raleigh features a straightforward 6-speed drivetrain with hub gears, which keeps the mechanics simple and reliable for everyday riding. Stopping power comes from mechanical rim brakes, a proven setup that's easy to maintain and adjust yourself if needed. The steel frame is characterful and robust, though it will need a service to get it running at its best given the time spent in storage. This might include cleaning up the drivetrain, checking the brake cables, and ensuring the gears shift cleanly through all six speeds. The folding mechanism itself should be checked over to make sure it operates smoothly and safely.

This bike works well for short urban journeys and for riders who need a compact solution they can take with them. Collection only, so you'll need to arrange transport or be local to pick it up.
