This is a used Electric Brompton P Line folding bike in black, fitted with an M-type handlebar and ready for collection from north-west London. The bike has covered around 1050 miles over the past year, so it's a relatively lightly used example of Brompton's electric-assisted compact folder. The 16-inch wheels and steel frame are the foundation of what makes this folding bike so portable, and the electric motor takes the edge off longer commutes or steeper gradients compared to a standard Brompton.

The P Line sits in the middle of Brompton's range and comes with a 4-speed derailleur gear system, which gives enough flexibility for most urban riding without the complexity of a hub gear. Caliper brakes handle stopping duties, and like all Bromleys, this one includes practical touches: mudguards to keep you relatively dry, reflectors built in, and lights wired through the frame for a cleaner look. The step-through frame design makes mounting easier in everyday clothes, and at 16kg all-in, the weight is noticeable but manageable if you're regularly folding and moving the bike between cycling and public transport.
