The E-Go Max is a folding bike built around the practical reality of commuting and urban storage. It sits somewhere between a conventional folder and a lightweight electric runabout, designed for riders who want genuine range and carrying capacity without sacrificing portability. The aluminium frame houses a 14Ah Samsung or LG lithium-ion battery within the seat post itself, which means you can remove it for charging indoors and leave the bike locked outside, or top it up at work during your lunch break. On a single charge, you're looking at up to 90km of range depending on terrain, weather, and how hard you push the motor, which is enough for most daily commuting patterns even with a longer route home.

The 250W motor works in three ways: full pedal-assist mode with five levels you can dial in, walk mode for pushing the bike on foot, and standard pedal power with no motor assistance. You get seven Shimano gears to work with, so even when the battery is empty, the bike still functions as a normal bike. The mechanical disc brakes front and rear are reliable and predictable, important when you're carrying a full load.
