Decathlon BTWIN folding bike, 120. Grey, 6 speed

The Decathlon B'TWIN folding bike in grey is a compact urban commuter built around the core idea of going small without sacrificing usability. It folds down to a size that makes it genuinely portable, which means you can take it on trains, store it in a flat corner, or keep it in an office without it dominating the space. The frame is designed to collapse neatly, so the fold itself is practical rather than fiddly once you've done it a few times.

With six gears, you have enough range to handle mixed urban terrain—flat commutes, the odd hill, and varying road surfaces. It's not a single-speed stripped-back design, so you're not fighting against headwinds or steep gradients, but it's not trying to be an adventure bike either. The gearing is straightforward and suited to the kind of riding most commuters actually do. This particular bike has seen very light use, only taken out a handful of times, so it's in excellent condition with no rust or wear to worry about. Being stored indoors throughout its life means everything is as it left the factory.

The B'TWIN works well for anyone who needs a bike that travels with them—whether that's combining cycling with public transport on a longer commute, storing in a compact space, or just wanting something that doesn't dominate your home. If you're shopping for one of these, there are actually two available, so if you need to sort out a shared commute or want a backup, that's worth knowing. Collection is from SE10 in Greenwich, southeast London.
