The Dallingridge Polar is a folding electric bike designed for practical city living and short commutes. Built around a steel mid-folding frame with matching steel forks, it's sturdy enough for regular use whilst remaining compact when folded down. The 20-inch wheels and 25cm folded depth make it genuinely portable—easily carried onto trains or stored in small spaces, yet still offering a reasonable riding platform for someone of larger build. The seller is 5'11" and found the frame accommodated their size comfortably.

Power comes from a 250w front hub motor fed by a 7Ah 24v battery, which gives roughly 25 miles of range per charge. The battery takes 4 to 6 hours to charge from flat and integrates into a rear rack, keeping weight distribution practical. You control assistance via an LED handlebar display with three riding modes, letting you adjust motor input to suit road conditions and battery range. The Shimano 6-speed gearing handles typical city riding and gentler hills without fuss, whilst the alloy V-brakes and CNC-machined wheel braking surfaces provide reliable stopping power in various weather.

Day-to-day practicality is built in. Front and rear mudguards keep spray off your clothes, and the integrated rear rack works for carrying a rucksack or small load. CST city-profile tyres are fitted to the 20-inch alloy wheels, designed for predictable grip on urban roads rather than off-road work. The complete bike weighs 23kg and supports riders up to 120kg, making it accessible to a range of sizes.

This particular example is barely used—roughly 5 times covering 60km since purchase. The battery is charged and working; the motor engages smoothly and the front wheel rolls via motor assistance as expected. The bike comes with keys for the battery, a helmet (size unknown), a front light that's been added by the owner, a lock, and a bell that wasn't particularly effective in use.
