Dahon Vybe D7 Folding Bike (£599 New)

This is a used Dahon Vybe D7 folding bike in matt black, originally retailing at £599 when new. The bike is in excellent condition with only minor marks consistent with normal use. It's a practical folding bike suited to commuters and leisure riders who need to combine cycling with other forms of transport, whether that's throwing it in a caravan, taking it on the train, or storing it in a small space at home.

The Vybe D7 uses Dahon's established folding system to collapse the frame down to a manageable size for carrying and storage. The aluminium construction keeps weight reasonable at 11kg, making it straightforward to lift and transport when folded. The bike features a 7-speed Shimano Revoshift system, which gives enough range for general riding without the complexity of a full-size derailleur setup. The folding pedals fold in when the frame is collapsed, further reducing the overall footprint.

The 20-inch wheels are typical of compact folding bikes, making the bike responsive and quick to manoeuvre in traffic or tight spaces, though they do require slightly more effort to maintain speed on longer, flat sections compared to larger wheels. Side-pull caliper brakes provide straightforward stopping power and are easy to maintain. The adjustable seatpost and handlebar stem mean the bike can be tuned to suit a range of rider heights from approximately 4ft 9in up to 6ft 3in, so it's flexible enough for different family members or multiple riders to use comfortably.
