This is a Dahon Speed TR, a proper folding touring bike in green that's genuinely well-suited to bikepacking trips and longer adventures. It's a significant step up from the entry-level Dahon models, with noticeably better components throughout. The example here is in excellent condition with just light marks and wear—nothing that affects how it rides. Dahon's patented folding system means you can collapse the bike down without needing to remove the wheels or pedals, making it straightforward to take on trains that only permit folding bikes, or to stash it in the car boot and unfold it when you arrive somewhere interesting.

The frame is steel, which gives it real durability for loaded touring. You're getting 24 speeds from a SRAM dual drive setup—a 3-speed hub gear paired with an 8-speed derailleur—so you have enough range to climb hills without losing the ability to spin out on flatter sections. The bars rotate to find a comfortable position whether you're on a long ride or just commuting, and there's a rear rack fitted for panniers, which means you can carry everything you need for a proper trip. The tyres are Schwalbe Big Apples, which are known for being forgiving on rough surfaces and giving a smooth ride even when the road gets a bit rough. A dynamo front light is already fitted and working, so you're ready for commutes that start or finish in darkness. The bike folds with magnets to hold it together compactly, and there's even a pump integrated into the seat tube so you're never caught without one. A Klickfix bag clips to the front for carrying essentials, and it's included with the bike.

This is the kind of bike that makes sense if you're serious about mixing cycling with public transport, or if you want something capable enough for proper bikepacking adventures without the hassle of a full-sized touring bike. Collection is from Langdon Hills in Basildon, Essex—about ten minutes from M25 junction 29, or close to Laindon railway station which is roughly 35 minutes from London.
