The Fold-It was originally produced by Richard Cresswell in Birmingham in the 1990s. In March 1996, at the National Cycle Show at the National Exhibition Centre, the Fold-It won the gold award for Best Cycle exhibited. The Company later sold out to Pashley who kept it in production for a short time in the early 2000s.
This British made steel Y-framed folder has drum brakes and a 7 speed Sachs (SRAM) hub gear, both of which make the bike extremely simple to maintain. It is also incredibly stable and comfortable to ride.
This very rare example has covered less than 10 miles in its 25 year life and is a real collectors item. (I have replaced the original tyres with new Schwalbe Marathons). To all intents and purposes, this is a new bike!
I am selling because I have too many bikes (my wife can confirm this!) and I think this great machine deserves to be ridden a lot more by a sympathetic new owner.
