Cranston R9 Folding Adults Bike in Green 9 Speed 16" Wheel Brand New Boxed

The Cranston R9 is a folding bike designed for adults who need a compact commuter that doesn't compromise on practicality. It uses a triple-fold mechanism that collapses the frame down to a size manageable for storage in flats, offices, or transport. At 12kg, it's a reasonable weight to carry when folded, though not featherlight.

The bike runs a 9-speed Shimano derailleur system, which gives you genuine range across flat urban terrain and gentler hills. The 16-inch alloy wheels are typical for this class of folding bike—they make the R9 responsive in traffic and contribute to the compact package, though they do mean you'll work a bit harder to maintain speed on longer flat stretches compared to larger wheels. The steel frame provides solid durability, and the centre-pull caliper brakes are straightforward and reliable in everyday conditions. Folding pedals keep the folded footprint tight and mean you won't catch them on doorframes or when carrying the bike.

Day-to-day use is uncomplicated. The 9-speed Shimano gears are intuitive to operate, and the derailleur setup is familiar to anyone who's ridden a conventional bike. The folding mechanism itself becomes routine after a few goes. It comes new and boxed with clear instructions and a toolkit, so you can get rolling straight away.

The R9 suits commuters juggling cycling with trains or buses, or anyone in a small space who needs a bike that doesn't dominate the hallway. It's CE approved and comes with free UK delivery.
