Cranston R9 Folding Adults Bike in Black 9 Speed 16" Wheel Brand New Boxed

The Cranton R9 is a folding bike designed for everyday urban riding and commuting. Built with a steel frame and a triple-fold mechanism, it collapses down to a compact package that's easy to carry onto public transport or store in a flat. At 12kg, it's a manageable weight for lifting and carrying, though noticeably heavier than some premium folding bikes. The bike comes complete with clear setup instructions and a tool kit, so you can get it running straight out of the box.

The R9 uses a 9-speed Shimano derailleur system with caliper centre-pull brakes, giving you genuine gearing range for varied terrain without the complexity of an internal hub. The 16-inch alloy wheels keep the folded size compact and make the bike responsive in traffic, though you will need to work a bit harder to maintain momentum on longer flat stretches compared to larger-wheeled bikes. Folding pedals tuck away neatly as part of the fold, and the caliper brakes are straightforward to maintain and adjust.

Day to day, the R9 handles short urban commutes and mixed-use cycling well. The combination of 9 gears and the compact wheelbase makes it suited to stop-start city riding and moderate hills. The triple fold becomes intuitive after a few uses, and the whole process takes just a minute or two once you're familiar with it. This is a practical choice for anyone who needs to combine cycling with public transport, store a bike in a small space, or wants the flexibility of taking a bike with them on journeys. It arrives new and boxed, and UK delivery is included.
