Challenge Flex Folding Commuter Bike 20" Wheel 6 Speed Shimano Gears Collection

The Challenge Flex is a 20-inch folding commuter bike built around a steel frame with 6-speed Shimano derailleur gears and u-brakes. It's designed to fold at the centre for compact storage and transport, making it suited to commuters who need to combine cycling with public transport or store the bike in a small space. The 20-inch wheels keep the overall footprint manageable when folded, and the steel frame is robust enough for daily urban riding.

This particular bike has been stored outside for several months and is sold as-is. The frame and components show visible cosmetic surface rust, though much of this can be cleaned up with some attention and care. The mechanical parts are functional—the gears and brakes work as they should—but the tyres need pumping up before riding. The fold mechanism is stiff from sitting unused and will need some gentle work to operate smoothly again. The bike features an upgraded comfort seat that adjusts freely on the seatpost, though the handlebar adjustment is currently jammed and will need lubricant to free up and move properly.

Anyone collecting this bike should be prepared to do some maintenance work. The rust is cosmetic rather than structural, and the stiffness in the fold and handlebar adjustment is typical of a bike that's been left outdoors without use. With a bit of cleaning, lubrication, and general attention, the Flex has solid bones and working components. Collection is in person only from Rochdale, and cash on collection is required so you can inspect the bike thoroughly before completing the sale and taking it away.
