Carrera Intercity Unisex 8 Speed Folding Bike Folder Fold Up Repair Commuter LDN

The Carrera Intercity is a practical folding bike designed for commuters who need to combine cycling with public transport or storage in tight spaces. Built from aluminium, the frame folds down to a compact size that's manageable to carry and store, making it well suited to urban commuting where space is at a premium. The 20-inch wheels strike a balance between manoeuvrability in traffic and reasonable rolling efficiency on mixed-terrain commutes.

The bike runs an 8-speed derailleur gearing system, which gives enough flexibility to handle varied urban terrain without the complexity of a hub gear. V-brakes provide straightforward, reliable stopping power that's easy to maintain and adjust if needed. The aluminium construction keeps the overall weight down, making it easier to lift onto trains or carry up stairs when you need to combine cycling with other forms of transport. The unisex frame design means it works for a wide range of riders without compromising on practicality.

Day to day, this is a commuter that gets on with the job. The 8-speed setup handles gentle hills and flat city riding equally well, and the folding design means you're not dependent on finding secure bike parking every time you stop. This Carrera suits anyone doing regular short to medium urban journeys where portability matters as much as the ride itself, or cyclists who need a secondary bike that doesn't demand much storage space when it's not in use.
