Brompton Turkish Blue Black Edition 6 Speed Dynamo Lights M Bars Collection

This is a fully upgraded Brompton folding bike in the striking Turkish Blue and Black Edition combination, built well beyond standard specification. The Turkish Blue frame is one of Brompton's most distinctive colours – a rich teal-blue powder coat paired with black-anodised hardware throughout: rims, spokes, hubs, handlebars, seat post, cranks, chainset, pedals, mudguards, and brakes all finished in black for a unified, cohesive look. The only silver elements are the braking surfaces on the rims, kept for performance. The frame number 711158 is clearly stamped and visible, useful for registration and confirming authenticity.

The drivetrain here is the 6-speed system, Brompton's widest standard gearing option. It combines a Sturmey-Archer BWR (Brompton Wide Range) 3-speed internally geared rear hub with a 2-speed rear derailleur, giving six usable ratios across two levers. The right lever controls the hub gear in three positions; the left lever shifts the derailleur between two sprockets. This range is genuinely versatile – wide enough for loaded commuting on hilly terrain yet still capable on flat, fast riding. It's a significant step up from the standard 2-speed or 3-speed setups most Bromptons come with.

The M-type handlebars provide a mid-rise, upright city position well suited to commuting and urban riding. You get good visibility in traffic and a natural, comfortable posture for day-to-day use. Rear suspension uses a 3-layer spring block fitted at the main-frame pivot point above the rear wheel, replacing the standard rubber elastomer. This aftermarket upgrade gives progressive spring action with noticeably better bump absorption over rough tarmac, cobbles, and dropped kerbs – a practical difference to ride comfort while remaining fully compatible with the Brompton's compact fold.

The wheels are fitted with Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres, puncture-resistant commuter rubber from Schwalbe's trusted Marathon family, with reflective sidewall stripes for side visibility in low light. At the front is a dynamo hub that generates power as you ride, feeding both the front and rear lights. The headlight is a Busch & Müller Lumotec LED, a well-regarded German unit wired directly to the hub dynamo, with a matched dynamo-powered rear LED on the same circuit so both lights run together automatically. No batteries needed for either light while in motion. The rear rollers are upgraded larger-diameter Easy Wheel-type units that let you tow the folded bike along the ground rather than carrying it – they roll more smoothly over uneven surfaces and kerb edges than the smallest stock rollers.

Practical touches throughout make this a ready-to-commute package. Full-length front and rear mudguards with stays and flaps keep spray off you and the bike, essential for year-round British weather. The extended seat post gives a wider range of height adjustment for taller riders or those wanting more leg extension. The left pedal folds flat for a narrower folded package, while the right pedal is fixed – standard Brompton design. A front carrier block is fitted to the head tube for any compatible Brompton front bag to click into place, though no bag is included. The bike comes with the Brompton Toolkit stored inside the main frame tube – containing a compact ratchet, bits, tyre levers, patches, and essentials for servicing and roadside fixes – plus the official Brompton frame pump clipped to the frame ready for tyre inflation without needing a separate pump.

Also included are the original Brompton owner's manual, a handlebar phone mount fitted and shown in the photos (easily removable if not wanted), and a soft zip carry bag for storing or transporting the folded bike. The bike is sold as used and presents with light, general wear consistent with a well-kept Brompton – no damage and no known mechanical issues. All photos form part of the description and show the bike's true condition. Collection only, local in person at a time convenient to both. Payment via eBay-managed payments only.
